ELECTRONIC RECYCLABLES TRANSPORTATION AND PROCESSING SERVICES

The County of Greenville, South Carolina is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide routine electronic recyclables transportation and processing. Various electronic recyclables will be separated by category and consolidated in Gaylord boxes or onto pallets for transport from Twin Chimneys Landfill to processing location.

The successful vendor will receive all e-waste collected by the Solid Waste Division (estimated at 350 tons/year). Electronic recyclables are routinely collected from citizens around Greenville County in accordance with the E-Waste Ban effective July 1, 2011. Materials include televisions, computers, and computer accessories.

CRT’s are stacked and shrink-wrapped on pallets and shipped separately from all other electronic recyclables. Broken and damaged items will also be shipped separately. Other recyclables are separated by type and placed in Gaylord boxes or on pallets as categorized in Attachment 1.
