Fire Station 6 Roll-Up Door Replacement Project
Specification No. FD 26-79

The City of Oxnard ("City") will accept Bids for the Fire Station 6 Roll-Up Door Replacement
Project, Specification No. FD 26-79 through electronic submission at Oxnard's Planet Bids Portal
at the following link: https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/69575/portal-home until 2:00 p.m. on
May 20, 2026. Bid Results will be available on the Planet Bids Portal, and there will also be a
public reading of the Bids shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 305
West Third Street, First Floor, Oxnard, California 93030.

Description: The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and supplies to
complete the removal and disposal of the existing apparatus bay door and furnishing and installing
a new commercial glass aluminum door system complete with a gear driven trolley operator as
further detailed in the Scope of Work.

May 20, 2026, no later than 2:00 p.m. The City will not consider any bid submitted in a different
manner, or after Bid Deadline,

Optional Pre-Bid Meeting: Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend an optional pre-bid
meeting and site visit on May 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Fire Station No. 6, located at 2601 Peninsula
Rd, in Oxnard. All questions, other than those asked at the pre-bid meeting and not specifically
addressed within the Bid Documents, must be submitted electronically at
https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/69575/portal-home at least five (5) Calendar Days before
the Bid due date and time. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a
claim after contract award.

Schedule: This project is to be completed within thirty (30) Working Days after the City issues a
Notice to Proceed. There will be a $250 assessment for each Calendar Day that Work remains
incomplete beyond the completion deadline.

License: Bidders must have a Class C-61/D-28 - Doors, Gates & Activating Devices Contractor
license issued by the California Contractor's State License Board at the time of the bid, and a
current City of Oxnard business license at the time of award.

Contract: Attached is a Sample Agreement that may be used as a template to the contract signed
between the City and the successful bidder. The City reserves the right to amend this contract
any time before execution.

Insurance: The City requires the insurance listed in Insurance Exhibit INS-D, which can be found
in the Sample Agreement.

Bonds: Bid Bonds are not required for this project, however upon Contract award, the successful
Bidder may be required to provide both Payment and Performance Bonds, each at 100% of the
Contract Price, if their Total Bid Price is $25,000 or more. The bond forms can be found in the
Sample Agreement.

Prevailing Wages: This project is a "public work" subject to the requirements of Labor Code
Section 1720 to 1861 and California Code of Regulations Title 8, Sections 16450 through 16464.
The selected contractor and all subcontractors must pay prevailing wages in accordance with the
determination of the Director of the DIR. Copies of prevailing wage rates for each craft,
classification, or type of worker needed for this project are on file at City Hall and will be made
available to any interested party on request. They are also available at
http://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/Prevailing-Wage.html.

This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The Contractor
shall furnish certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner. Contractor and all
Subcontractors are not qualified to bid on, be listed in a Bid proposal, or engage in the
performance of any contract for public work, as defined in Labor Code Sections 1720 through
1861, unless registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section
1725.5 at the time of Bid submission.

Addenda: The City Engineer may issue Addenda to the Contract Documents during the period
of advertisement for any reason. Addenda may be issued to answer pre-bid questions and/or to
clarify or make any corrections in this Bid Package. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that
they have received all Addenda, if any. Bidders may contact the City at the email address
