Request for Proposal
as energy management consultant to assist in the evaluation of RFP responses and the
supplier selection process. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the
purchase of firm, non-curtailable supply of natural gas to be delivered to facilities
located in Atco Gas service territory. As a secondary goal, the Client wishes to obtain
firm and competitively priced natural gas supply from a responder who is in good
financial standing. Finally, the Client will utilize the responses from this RFP to establish
a prequalified pool of Bidders for future natural gas transactions. Only those Bidders
designated as being prequalified will be invited to bid on the Client’s natural gas
requirements during the period of November 1, 2024 – December 31, 2026 with the
option to extend the prequalification pool term by an additional 12 months (to
December 31, 2027). During that time, the district has the right to secure fixed price
natural gas contracts for terms up to December 31, 2032 from the prequalified pool of
Bidders.
The current total annual normalized natural gas energy usage by the Client is
approximately 30,000 GJ for 29 active site IDs. Note: Sites and volumes are subject to
change prior to the firm bid round. All participating Bidders will receive an updated
final list for firm bid round purposes.
From Proposals received, the Client will select Bidders which shall be the standard for
future orders under the terms of each Contract awarded by virtue of this RFP
throughout the Term of such Contracts. The terms "RFP" and "Proposal" include any
revisions, amendments or additional documents made thereto, pursuant to this RFP.
The Client is requesting experienced and qualified Bidders to submit Proposals based on
the following:
• Purchasing natural gas supply
• Servicing the various natural gas accounts
• Customer service and support
