The City of New Bern is requesting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the furnishing and delivery of approximately 59,500 feet of 394.5 AAAC 6201 electrical conductor cable (or approved equivalent). Materials must meet all specified NEMA reel requirements and delivery conditions, including shipment on an open-bed truck with advance notice.
Sealed bids must be submitted as hard-copy responses and received by the City no later than February 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM (ET). Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
Inquiries must be submitted in writing by February 4, 2026, and may be submitted by email to Darryl Stith, Warehouse,

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Sealed Bids must be submitted as hard-copy responses and received by the City of New Bern no later
than the bid closing date and time stated above. Electronic submissions, including email or facsimile
(fax), will not be accepted.
Inquiries must be submitted in writing by the stated deadline and may be submitted by email to

of New Bern to respond. Any responses provided shall be issued only by written addendum.

G.S. 143-59.2 – Securities Violations / Iran Divestment

Exchange Act of 1934.
False certification is a Class I felony.

It shall be the offeror’s responsibility to read this entire document, review all enclosures and
attachments, and comply with all requirements specified herein.
NOTICE TO OFFERORS
All bids are subject to the provisions of the Instructions to Offerors, the General Terms and
Conditions, and any other conditions specific to this Request for Bid.
The City of New Bern objects to and will not evaluate or consider any additional or alternative terms
and conditions submitted with an Offeror’s response. This includes any language appearing in or
attached to the Offeror’s bid response. Do not attach any additional terms and conditions.
By execution and delivery of this bid, the Offeror agrees that any additional or alternative terms and
conditions, whether submitted intentionally or inadvertently, shall have no force or effect and shall
not be binding upon the City of New Bern.
DEFINITIONS
Addendum – A written modification or clarification to this Request for Bid issued by the City of New
Bern Purchasing Manager.
Bid – The Offeror’s complete response to this Request for Bid, including all required forms, pricing,
certifications, and acknowledgments.
City – The City of New Bern, North Carolina.
Offeror – Any company, firm, corporation, partnership, individual, or other legal entity submitting a
response to this Request for Bid.
Purchasing Manager – The individual designated by the City of New Bern to administer this
procurement on behalf of the City.
Request for Bid (RFB) – This solicitation document, including all attachments, exhibits, and any
addenda issued by the City of New Bern.
Vendor means the successful Offeror to whom a contract is awarded as a result of this Request for
Bid.
SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS
Submit one (1) fully executed sealed bid. Clearly mark the Bid Number on the outside of the sealed
envelope. Bids submitted by mail must be received at the Office of the Purchasing Manager at the
