DEMOLITION & SITE PREPARATION BID PROPOSAL
GENERAL
The City of Sandersville is seeking proposal from qualified demolition contractors for the
demolition of the old arcade building at 157 E. church street. This proposal is to provide a
complete demolition of the existing structure located at 157 E. Church Street, Sandersville,
GA, including material salvage, debris removal, and post-demolition site preparation as outlined
below.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Building Demolition
o Complete demolition of the existing structure on the property.
o Demolition to include all above-grade structural components.
o Work performed in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal
regulations.
2. Salvage of Brick Materials
o Carefully remove and retain bricks from the structure as requested.
o Salvaged bricks to be stockpiled neatly on-site or at a designated location as
directed by the City.
o Reasonable care will be taken to preserve bricks for reuse.
3. Debris Removal & Disposal
o Removal and proper disposal of all demolition debris not designated for salvage.
o Disposal to be completed at approved facilities.
4. Site Grading
o Rough and final grading of the lot following demolition.
o Site to be left level and ready for paving.
• Asbestos testing results attached.

• Utility disconnections to be completed prior to demolition by the City of Sandersville.
• Permitting fees completed through the Building and Zoning Department of the City of
Sandersville.
(Exclusions may be modified upon request.)
PROJECT SCHEDULE
• Estimated start date: April 6, 2026
• Estimated project duration: 30 calendar days from notice to proceed.
• Work schedule subject to weather conditions and permit approvals.
BID AMOUNT

This price includes all labor, equipment, materials, disposal fees, grading, and paving as
described in the scope of work.
INSURANCE & COMPLIANCE
• Contractor will maintain general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.
• All work will comply with City of Sandersville requirements and applicable codes.
• Proof of insurance available upon request.
ACCEPTANCE
This proposal is valid for 30 days from the date listed above.

BID REQUIREMENTS
1. The bid must be submitted prior to bid deadline of March 3rd, 2026 at 3:00pm – at which
time a bid opening will take place at Sandersville City Hall, 141. W. Haynes Street,
Sandersville, GA 31082.
2. Three (3) copies of the bid shall be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked
“DEMOLITION & SITE PREPARATION PROPOSAL”.
All shipping envelopes must be clearly marked.
3. Bids shall be delivered to:

4. The bid shall include the total cost of the equipment and installation and estimated project

5. The bid shall include a description of the equipment features and the warranty provided.
6. The bid should include a completed W-9 Form.
