Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 7C Section 44-58, the Town of Weymouth (Awarding Authority), requests proposals for Architectural/Engineering Design Services for the Historical Restoration of the Town of Weymouth’s Emery Estate located at 790 Commercial Street.

The proposals must respond to the requirements set forth in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ).

The objective of the RFQ is to select a Massachusetts licensed Architect to provide a complete range of Design Services.  These include, but are not limited to, developing and presenting information including analysis of existing conditions at the site, completion of all studies, tests, etc., and to make recommendations to the Town of Weymouth for action within the construction budget.  The estimated construction cost is Five Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars ($590,000.00).

The Request for Qualifications packets will be available by emailing procurement@weymouth.ma.us after 8:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 2, 2025.  Information packages are free of charge. Respondents must provide all contact information.

There will be a briefing session held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA 02189.   All candidates are strongly encouraged to attend.  The briefing session will give candidates an opportunity to discuss and then inspect the facilities, review existing documents, if available, and discuss the project with Town Staff, to better understand the Scope of Work.

Questions must be submitted in writing to procurement@weymouth.ma.us 4:00 P.M. on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Proposals must be received on or before 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Town of Weymouth Department of Asset Management located at 111 Middle Street Weymouth, MA 02189. Responses submitted after this time will not be accepted.
