This requirement is for the department of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC).

Description of the Requirement:

The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to award up to two (2) contracts for Nursing Consultative Services in support of the Non-Insured Health Benefit (NIHB) Program for the Medical Supplies and Equipment (MSE) Review Centre on an as and when required basis. The estimated level of yearly effort is 110 hours per contract. The initial contract period is three (3) years from contract award, with two (2) additional one (1) year option periods.

Objective:

The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program of the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) requires the services of one (1) Canadian registered Nursing Consultant per contract on an "as and when required" basis to evaluate requests for medical equipment and supplies in support of the NIHB Medical Supply and Equipment Review Centre.

Scope:

The Contractor will provide recommendations within a specific deadline for the approval or denial of cases, provide professional advice with regard to specific cases to the NIHB Program, and provide advice on the development of Program policies and guidelines for NIHB staff on an "as requested" basis.

Level of Security Requirement:

Pursuant to the Policy on Government Security, the nature of the services to be provided under the Contract requires a valid Government of Canada (GoC) personnel Security Screening at the level of Reliability Status for the Contractor, authorized resources and sub-contractors to be assigned to conduct the work.

Prior to the commencement of the work, the Contractor and each authorized resources involved in the performance of the work under this contract must EACH, hold a valid Security Screening at the level of Reliability Status during the lifetime of the contract.

Estimated Level of Effort (for each contract):

The estimated level of effort of the Initial contract period will be for: 330 hours

The estimated level of effort of the Option period 1 will be for: 110 hours

The estimated level of effort of the Option period 2 will be for: 110 hours.
