The City of Lethbridge (the “City”), a major regional hub in Southern Alberta with a population of over 100,000, manages a large portfolio of facilities. As the current retail service agreement is ending, the City is looking to improve financial and operational efficiency and transition to a billing and reporting system seamlessly integrated with the City’s utility accounting software. This new system is critical for automated energy management and transparent reporting, which will support the city's key objectives:
• Energy Hedging: Implementing strategies to manage energy costs and procurement risks.
• Measurement and Verification (M&V): Tracking progress toward the city's goal of a 20% energy reduction from its baseline by 2035.
• Departmental Cost Settlement: Accurately allocating energy costs to various city departments.
