The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) intends to make a one-time purchase of the Sparrow-2 Hotel/Motel Surveillance System from Saul Mineroff Electronics.
The Sparrow-2 Hotel/Motel Surveillance System is a purpose-built covert surveillance solution specifically designed for law-enforcement operations in hotel and motel environments. The system is part of Saul Mineroff Electronics’ proprietary VCS Platform, an integrated ecosystem that combines custom-designed hardware, proprietary firmware, and exclusive software developed and manufactured solely by Saul Mineroff Electronics.
This system provides evidentiary-grade audio and video capture through covert concealment devices, secure wireless networking, and hardened recording and viewing components that function as a unified platform. The Sparrow-2 system supports rapid deployment without reliance on hotel or venue infrastructure, encrypted local recording with simultaneous low-bandwidth remote streaming, secure evidence management, and license-free client software for law-enforcement personnel.
The Sparrow-2 system relies on proprietary components that are not available from any other manufacturer, including custom concealment housings, specialized optics and microphones, purpose-built wireless access and repeater devices, proprietary firmware, and exclusive VCS client and server software. These components are engineered to work together as a single, cohesive system to meet specific operational, security, and evidentiary requirements unique to covert law-enforcement surveillance operations.
