Title: Tree Consultation and Planting Services
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 12/20/2024
Due Date: 1/22/2025
The City of Rock Hill, South Carolina ("City") is seeking proposals from qualified companies for consultation and planting services of trees on both private and public properties.
This procurement is funded in whole or in part by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS) Urban & Community Forestry Program. Grant #24-CA-11132544-015
The City of Rock Hill recognizes and promotes the benefits of a healthy and sustainable urban forest in Rock Hill. While Rock Hill has a rich history of tree planting, most of that effort has been constrained to public property due to funding requirements. An extensive canopy study has identified that the majority of potential planting locations are located on private properties. In an effort to expand the number and locations of trees being planted, Rock Hill applied and was awarded a federal grant from the National Arbor Day Foundation, which allows for the planting of trees on both public and private property. Traditional funding sources will also be utilized to continue to plant trees on public properties.
