Demolition of Unsafe Structures

James City County (“JCC” or the “County”) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to obtain sealed bids from qualified and experienced firms to establish a contract with firm-fixed unit pricing for the demolition of unsafe structures at various locations on an as-needed basis.

Demolition of Unsafe Structures. Contractor will be given exact locations and legal descriptions of structures to be demolished when demolition has been determined necessary by the County. Contractor shall inspect each site and provide price quote for each individual job and provide quote to County who will then issue a Purchase Order for that site. Upon issuance of land Disturbance Permit, site work may begin by Contractor. Demolition work may issuance of a Building Permit. No work shall begin prior to the receipt of the Purchase Order. Work performed without a Purchase Order will be considered unauthorized and will be at the risk of the Contractor. When the work is complete and inspected to the satisfaction of the JCC Director of Building, Safety and Permits or other designated County staff, the invoice for payment will be approved.

Bids are due on February 3, 2026 - NO LATER THAN 2:00 p.m. local time.  Bids are to be submitted in EUNA/Open Bids (formerly Demand Star)
