Providing all materials and labor to raise the existing earthen detention structure approximately 15-feet and construct an approximately 200 foot long by 75 foot wide reinforced concrete spillway, a 12-foot x 10-foot by 40-foot tall reinforced concrete slide gate structure, reinforced concrete low flow inlet structure, reinforced concrete flow control outlet structures, 305 linear feet of 48-inch diameter ductile iron pipe, approximately 1,500 linear feet of gravel access road, 125 linear feet of 12-inch diameter HDPE pipe, plug and abandon 160 linear feet of existing 36-inch storm pipe, chimney drains, staff gauge, erosion and water pollution control, site restoration, and all other work as specified herein and as shown on the drawings. All construction work is to be completed within 400 working days.Â

CALL FOR BIDS
The Lexington Flood Control Zone District (Contracting Agency) will receive sealed bids until
November 18, 2025, prior to 2:00 p.m., for the following work: SOUTH FORK McCORKLE CREEK
DETENTION STRUCTURE PHASE 2 MODIFICATIONS.
At that time, all bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids must be addressed to:

All bids shall be labeled as SOUTH FORK McCORKLE CREEK DETENTION STRUCTURE PHASE 2
MODIFICATIONS BID.
Bids may not be submitted electronically. Bidders shall deliver or mail original bid documents
before the bid opening.
Work to be performed under this contract consists of the following:
Providing all materials and labor to raise the existing earthen detention structure
approximately 15-feet and construct an approximately 200 foot long by 75 foot wide reinforced

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on site at the end of Sparks Drive, Kelso, Washington,
on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to obtain Addenda, if any. Addenda information will be
available on Cowlitz County’s website at www.co.cowlitz.wa.us/1655/Diking-Districts. The
Contracting Agency accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to
bidders who fail to check for addenda and thereby submit inadequate or incomplete responses.
The Lexington Flood Control Zone District (Contracting Agency) will not provide paper copies of
