SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the
OTTAWA COUNTY DANBURY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
CHEMICAL FEED IMPROVEMENTS
OTTAWA COUNTY, OHIO
Will be received by Ottawa County, Ohio at the office of the Board of Commissioners, 315 Madison
Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452 until
10:00 (Local Time)
May 28, 2026
and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The scope of work consists of furnishing all supplies for and constructing a chemical storage and feed
system and placing it in operation.
The Project will be financed with local funds and the Contract Documents reflect requirements of the
County.
Bidding Documents are being issued from Fishbeck’s Perrysburg office. Bidders should direct questions
and correspondence to that office.
Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations after Monday, May 4, 2026, at 2:00
p.m. local time.

Bidding Documents may be obtained (ordered) online, go to www.fishbeck.com, click on “Bid
Sets/Bidders Lists.PDF files that are viewable online are low resolution quality (i.e., not suitable for
printing). Electronic downloads and printed sets are high resolution. Costs for electronic downloads and
printed sets of Bidding Documents are established by the reproduction service provider, including
shipping (if applicable). Individuals/companies that electronically download full sets or purchase printed
sets are automatically added to the list of plan holders. Obtaining Bidding Documents from any source
not identified herein may result in failure to receive addenda, corrections, or other revisions that may be
issued.
The bid guaranty may be of two forms:
1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount
of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.)
2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of Ottawa County, Ohio in the
amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which
is a 100% payment and performance bond.
After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into,
bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the
bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Ottawa County, Ohio.
Ottawa County reserves the right pursuant to ORC.9.312 to reject any and all bids and to waive any
non-material irregularity in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bidders with
Unresolved Findings for Recovery on the State Auditor’s web site will be disqualified.
Each bidder shall complete a "Non-Collusion" Affidavit and include it with their proposal. Bids received
after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check,
will neither be read or considered.
In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code Section 307.87 this shall serve as notification that this notice
is available on Ottawa County’s internet web site on the world wide web by logging onto
www.co.ottawa.oh.us and going to the legal notices/bids link - click on main page and you will be able to
view the notice in PDF format.
All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in this booklet. Bids must state
the unit prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked --- Danbury
Township WWTP Chemical Feed Improvements --- and addressed to Board of Ottawa County
Commissioners, Ottawa County, 315 Madison Street, Room 103, Port Clinton, OH 43452.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt
of bids. This time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the Owner and any Bidder or
Bidders.
The successful bidder will be required to pay State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award,
refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
A prebid conference will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, 10 a.m., local time at the Danbury WWTP
Service Building 5783 Von Glahn Road, Lakeside Marblehead, OH, 43440. Prospective Bidders are
encouraged to attend and participate in the conference, but attendance is not mandatory.
The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost for this project is $330,000.00.
