THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUCEMENT ONLY – Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. The information gathered for market research will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a future requirement for the leasing of postage machines. The leased machines shall have the capability to process up to 30,000 envelopes per month and shall have a meter head. The terms of the contract will include routine maintenance of the machines to include the replacement of parts and ink/ink cartridges. The VA would also require training to be provided to VA employees on how to properly utilize the machine. VA would like to have the option to either upgrade or downgrade the machine after the lease ends. The machines would need need to operate independent of the VA network and would need to be wifi capable. The Government contemplates awarding an SDVOSB set aside firm fixed price contract resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal.
Please note: All contractor doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management database (SAM) as well as certified in the Vendor Information Portal (VIP). The anticipated NAICS code is 561499 with a size standard of $21.5 million.
