The Town of Amherst invites qualified designers to submit an application to provide design and engineering services, including preparation of general specifications and bid ready documents, for general construction bidding for the removal of the current HVAC system and replace with a new air-source heat pump system at the Munson Memorial Library located at 1046 South East Street, Amherst, MA. The fee for services is set at $50,000. Bid documents must be ready to distribute by the end of January 2026. Requests for qualifications may be obtained at www.amherstma.gov/bids .

Qualifications:

All individuals proposed for the project must have prior similar public bidding experience on at least 3 projects under M.G.L. c. 149 in the past 3 years. The projects should have a minimum total cost of $200,000 and preferably one over $400,000.
