Description:

The project was developed under UPC: 123383 , State Project Number 0005-137-197, with funding allocations from the VDOT State of Good Repair (SGR) program, a state-aid highway program. This project will be locally administered by the City of Williamsburg.

The Work under this Project: generally consists of removal of existing pavements by cold planing (milling), placement of asphalt concrete pavement, and miscellaneous work including but not limited to utility adjustments within public rights of way of the City of Williamsburg. Included is the installation of pavement lines and markings as per the Construction Drawings along with a cycle track paint, markings, and delineators.

Qualifications:

This project is to be constructed in accordance with the Department's VDOT's 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications; 2016 Road and Bridge Standards revised May 2020; 2009 MUTCD, 2011 Virginia Supplement To The MUTCD, Revision 1 effective September 30, 2013. 2011 Edition of Virginia Work Area Protection Manual with Revision 2.1 incorporated, dated 11/1/2020; and as amended by contract provisions and the complete plan assembly.

Design features relating to construction or to regulation and control of traffic may be subject to change as deemed necessary by the department.

Special Requirements:

All work shall be completed in forty five (45) days.

Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
