CITY OF SEQUIM
2026 CHIP SEAL
PROJECT NO: STR-041RR-2026
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the undersigned at the City of Sequim,
152 West Cedar St, Sequim, Washington 98382, up to 2:00 p.m.; local time on Wednesday,
July 15, 2026, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees
thereof to construct the 2026 CHIP SEAL project. This contract calls for chip seal, fog seal, traffic
control, brooming, pavement marking installation, and other associated work on select city streets.
The Engineer’s Estimate range is $285,000 to $305,000. The work locations include but are not
limited to:

E Washington Pl
All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions,
Contract Plans and Standard Specifications for this project and any addenda issued thereto that
are on file at the office of the City Clerk, 152 W Cedar St, Sequim, WA 98382. Bidders may obtain
a copy of the Contract Provisions, Plans and Bid Proposal Form, free of charge, in electronic
format (PDF via email) along with registration as a plan-holder through the City of Sequim Public
Works Office. Requests o r q u e s ti o n s pertinent to the bidding the contract and are not
answered by the information contained in the Contract Provisions, Plans, and Specifications,
should be submitted in written from via email to may be emailed to
(engineering@sequimwa.gov).
Bid Proposals are to be submitted only on the Proposal Form provided to registered plan-
holders. All Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money
order, or bid bond payable to the “City of Sequim” and in an amount of not less than five percent
(5%) of the total amount bid. The City of Sequim expressly reserves the right to reject any or all
Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest
responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.
The City of Sequim, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all
bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this
advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair
opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
