Bid Synopsis: The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS) is requesting approval to conduct a Request for Bid (RFB) for excavating services with removal or installation of concrete, asphalt, or grass. The resulting contract would be available for use by all DCTS facilities. DHS facilities have underground infrastructure routes needing repair or replacement for the continuation of resident services. These include: electrical, plumbing, sewer, air, steam, condensate, low voltage, high voltage, fiber optic, communication lines, and camera and security network cabling systems. The goal of these excavating services is the replacement-in-kind (RIK), maintenance, or repair of the underground infrastructure and groundcover in the same location. Groundcover replacement may include concrete, asphalt, or grass. The excavation services and ground cover replacement will also involve trucking, site prep work, backfilling, and restoration to previous conditions.  The awarded vendor will be required to respond in a timely manner to prevent utility operation lapses and to minimize security risks.
