1. Is the current base roof under warranty?
a. No, the current base roof is not under warranty
2. What is the current controls system for the building?
a. Alerton controls are the HVAC controls
3. What is the current fire alarm system and who services it?
a. ECC Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell, serviced by KNC Technologies
4. What is the process for equipment substitutions?
a. Equipment substitutions must be submitted per section 01 25 00 of project manual
5. What protective coating is required for the gym floors in respect to materials and lifts?
a. Will need ram board and ¾ plywood.
6. Is the pre-bid mandatory?
a. Pre-bid is not mandatory by North Carolina procurement rules. Omit any verbiage
otherwise.
7. When is the anticipated completion date?
a. The completion date is end of summer break 2026
8. What are the MWBE goals for this project?
a. The MWBE goals for this project is 12.64%
9. Can the storage container at the rear of the building be moved for crane access?
a. Yes, the container can be moved
10. What alternate routes for the duct can be used in the gym?
a. The duct can be routed forward and through the roof joists. See exhibit A below
11. Can the new roof curbs be flashed in EDPM and then sealed to the roof?
a. No, EDPM will not be allowed.

Mechanical Installation Requirements
1. Seal the joints airtight between package units and supply ducts. Seal joints above the roof and not tranversing through the
target spaces.
2. Airtight seals shall be field applied mastic complying with UL 181 A-M or mastic tape complying with UL 181 A-P
3. Install RTUs on roof curbs.
4. Install NEMA 3R outdoor duty duct detectors in return ducts for RTU-13A, RTU-13B and RTU-14. Hardwire to FACP.
