The City of Tuscaloosa is soliciting sealed bids from qualified and licensed contractors to provide herbicide treatment services across various City-maintained areas. The work includes vegetation control along utility rights-of-way, drainage channels, roadside features, and airport grounds. The goal is to suppress unwanted vegetation—excluding Bermuda grass—for a minimum of 70 days per application cycle.
Services will be performed in accordance with specifications provided by the City and applicable regulatory guidelines. Treatment areas are detailed in the appendices, which include maps, site lists, and location-specific requirements. Bidders must meet minimum licensing and experience qualifications and provide required documentation with their bid submission.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose proposal best meets the City’s needs and budget.
Please reference the IFB and all Appendices for full detail.
