The Work consists of improvements to Richmond-Henrico Turnpike (R-HT) beginning at the intersection of Laburnum Avenue and ending at the intersection of Hummingbird Road.  The length of improvements are approximately 1.15 miles.  Improvements will consist of a four-lane curb and gutter roadway with either a flush shared center left turn lane or a raised median, a ten-foot shared use path with lighting on the eastern side and a five-foot sidewalk on the western side of R-HT.  Enclosed drainage will be provided throughout the project limits as well as two stormwater management facilities, public water, sanitary sewer, signing and pavement markings.  The improvements to public water include a 12-inch water main and a 42-inch water main that runs the entire length of the project.  The project crosses Horse Swamp Creek where a new triple ten-foot by ten-foot box culvert will be installed. This project will be built according to the latest VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications.
