NOTICE FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE AMENDMENT

SOLICITATION NUMBER: 36C24W05Q0218

AMENDMENT NUMBER: 0001

DATE: July 10, 2025

PROJECT NUMBER: N/A

PROJECT TITLE: Walk-in Refrigerator

LOCATION: VA Medical Center, Tulsa, OK, 74127

REASON FOR AMENDMENT: Answer Questions 1 – 13, Condensing Unit Type – Missing Division

______________________________________________________________________________ AMENDMENT: 0001

Question: 1 - Condensing Unit Type: I see both air-cooled and water-cooled listed in the RFQ and specifications.

VA Response: An air-cooled type condensing unit is required.

Question: 2 - Condensing Unit Location: Can you find out where the condensing units are located and I need to know the total horizontal and vertical feet of pipe too.

VA Response: The condensing unit will be mounted above the ceiling on top of the cooler. The precise location will have to be determined by the contractor base on access, and position of other MEP (mechanical, electrical, piping) in the space.

Question: 3 - Chamber temperature set point: Can you confirm if this is a 2-8C° Cold Room.

VA Response: The set point will be 2 degrees Celsius.

Question: 4 - Temperature uniformity: Is this required for this type of “Lab Grade Chamber”? I typically +/-2.0°C volumetric temperature uniformity in Pharma applications.

VA Response: Correct, volumetric temperature uniformity should be +/- 2 degrees Celsius.

Question: 5 - Relative Humidity and Uniformity: Neither of these are listed.

VA Response: I am unaware of any humidity uniformity requirement.

Question: 6 - 100% Mechanical Redundancy: Are they looking for an “A” and “B” systems that are identical to each other for system switchover? Or are they looking for dual circuited evaporators with redundant condensing units?

VA Response: The exact solution is up to your discretion. The only requirement that we have is 100% redundancy for the compressor.

Question: 7 - Labor: Would this be a Prevailing Wage Job?

VA Response: Yes, local labor would apply because there are labor qualifications specified.

Question: 8 - Freight Elevator and Size: Is one available and can we get the size.

VA Response:

    1. 69” W x 102” D x 102”H

    2. Door opening 54” W x 96”H

Question: 9 - Building Drawings: Are these available?

VA Response: Drawings will be made available to all vendors that attend the site walk-through.

Question: 10 - Loading Dock: Is a loading dock available?

VA Response: The loading dock can be made available for scheduled loading and unloading. The delivery time and location can be worked out post award.

Question: 11 - Condensing Unit Voltage: Will this be 208/230V or 460V?

VA Response: 208v.

Question: 12 - Chamber Interior Finish: Would this be 304 stainless steel walls floors and ceilings?

VA Response: Stainless steel is the required surface for all visible surfaces, including floors, walls and ceilings.

Question: 13 - Missing Divisions:

VA Response: All VA Master Construction Specifications can be obtained here:
