This is a solicitation for commercial items (supply) prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses in effect are IAW FAR, DFAR, AFFARS and all other related guidance.
The solicitation number is FA481925Q0007
This acquisition is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 326211, “Tire Manufacturing (except Retreading)” and a Product Service Code (PSC) 2610. The 2025 Small Business Size Standard is 1,500 empoyees.
Offers (Quotes) received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated IAW FAR 52.212-2(a) using the following factor(s) to determine best value:
a. Technical capability of the item/service offered to meet the Government requirement; and
b. Price (evaluation of price shall be the sum of all line items, including options if applicable).
Questions and Government Response: All questions concerning this solicitation must be submitted no later than Friday, 14 March 2025 @ 2:00 PM CST. Any questions that are received in conjunction with this solicitation and the corresponding responses by the Government will be posted as an Amendment to System for Award Management (SAM), website: www.sam.gov.
Contractors shall submit all quotes by Friday, 21 March 2025 @ 2:00 PM CST electronically by emailing the Contract Specialist, A1C Nathaniel J. Cordova at nathaniel.cordova.1@us.af.mil and the Contracting Officer, SrA Diana I. Alen at diana.alen@us.af.mil, and with the subject line "FA481925Q0007 - Quote".
Requirement Background: 72 Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) trailer wheel/tire assemblies require refurbishment. The trailer wheel refurbishment involves replacing the tires and split rim steel wheels, adding new tubes and liners, and applying two-part flat-proofing foam/catalyst. This is crucial for the mobility and implementation of MAAS. The vendor will be responsible for picking up and returning the wheel/tire assemblies once refurbished.
