Project Description: This project proposes to upgrade the existing traffic signal at the intersection of Sproul Road (SR 0320) & Shopping Center Driveways located in Springfield Township, Delaware County. This project proposes to modernize the signal equipment and pedestrian facilities. The signal equipment upgrades consist of new mast arms, new controller cabinet assembly with battery backup, thermal video detection, new vehicular signal heads, advanced radar detection system and a new emergency preemption system. Pedestrian upgrades include new ADA ramps on the west side of the intersection, refreshed pavement markings, Accessible Pedestrian Signals, and new countdown pedestrian signal heads.
