Environment (WAVE) Training Content Integration into Samsung Tablets

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions.

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Installation and Technology Division, 6472 Integrity Court, Building 4401, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 has a requirement to procure customized Wide Angle Virtual Environment (WAVE) Training Software Content Integration, 12-months software subscription into QTY 30 Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ 12GB / 512GB Wi-Fi, 12-months software subscription and QTY 60 Protective Tablet Cases for the Samsung Tablets.

The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Mechdyne Corporation, 11 E. Church St., 4th Floor, Marshalltown, IA 50158. The vendor has the exclusive rights and is the sole proprietor of the Wide Angle Virtual Environment Training Software solution which is uniquely tailored the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense specialized training curriculum for field and medical management of chemical and biological casualties.

A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government’s intent to award on a sole source basis for the required supplies.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.
