INVITATION TO BID
Separate sealed bids for Boatwright Drainage Improvements, HW Project No. 2025014, will be received by the City of Van Buren, Arkansas at 1003 Broadway Street, Van Buren, Arkansas until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 (the “Opening Date”), at which time and location bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids shall be addressed “City of Van Buren, Arkansas,” and shall be labeled “Bid for Boatwright Drainage Improvements, HWEI Project No. 2025014”. Bidders shall include their Arkansas license number on the outside of their sealed bids. Any bid received after the scheduled opening time will be returned unopened.
This project includes construction of approximately 600 linear-feet of drainage improvements along North 23rd Street in Van Buren, Arkansas including installation of storm drain piping, drainage inlets, and construction of approximately 300 linear-feet of concrete open channel.
Prospective Bidders must download contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network. This can be done via link on www.hawkins-weir.com/bidding-info and/or at www.QuestCDN.com . QuestCDN is a web-based platform for advertisements, bid document distribution, plan holder lists, and all information pertaining to the bid. Prospective Bidders should register at www.QuestCDN.com for a free ‘Regular’ membership. Enter Quest number 9692850 to access bidding information on the search page. There is a $22.00 non-refundable download delivery fee for a PDF copy (electronic) of the bidding documents. Bidders are responsible for any reproduction costs of the purchased contract documents. Bids will not be accepted from any Prospective Bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued in accordance with the requirements provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Information regarding the number of Addenda that has been duly issued can be obtained from Quest CDN.
Each Bidder must deposit with their Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
All Bidders must be licensed in conformance with the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors as defined in Arkansas Code 14-25-101 et seq. and related statutes.
The City of Van Buren, Arkansas reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informalities and reject any and all Bids. Bids shall remain firm for a period not to exceed 60 days from the Opening Date.
Bidders shall inform themselves of all requirements provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
