Project Description: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contract with a qualified and licensed contractor to provide construction activities required for building improvements for the Unified Police Department (UPD). The general contractor will be required to work under the direction of an appointed representative of the UPD.
The UPD is moving much of its shared services to Western Hills, a former elementary school in Kearns, Utah. The location is 5190 Health Ave, Kearns, UT 84118. The work will be completed at this location.
The project shall begin within two weeks of obtaining permits and permissions. Time is of the essence as UPD will be moving Property & Evidence into the building as soon as practicable. It is anticipated that construction will begin in June 2025.
A mandatory site visit will occur on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Western Hills, 5190 Heath Ave, Kearns, UT 84118. Offerors would submit a bid but fail to attend the site visit will have their bid rejected. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be for a term of five (5) years and may be renewed for one (1) additional year term, subject to annual appropriation. There may be other locations during the term of the contract.
