Contract Opportunity

The ERDC needs a total of QTY: 6 masonry target walls constructed at the Big Black Test Site with options for additional walls exercised throughout the next three years.

1.0 The contractor will construct:

• QTY: 3 - 8” thick lightly reinforced CMU wall sections inside steel wall frames. Material and build details are listed in Section 2.2.

• QTY: 3 - 8” thick heavily reinforced CMU wall sections inside steel wall frames. Material and build details are listed in Section 2.2.

2.0 The contractor will build as prescribed below in the section entitled Masonry Building Requirements. For the initial award and all the options that are exercised, the contractor will also maintain accurate building logs for each wall and provide all necessary equipment to perform the work. The ERDC will provide the necessary quantity of masonry bricks/blocks as applicable, mortar, sand, and rebar.

• Contractor will create mortar test samples as prescribed for each wall build. (ERDC will provide the necessary supplies to complete this task.) The contractor carries no responsibility for sample curing or testing procedures.
