SUNY Research Data Repository Vendor Support

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to help The State University of New York (SUNY) gather information from vendors with demonstrated expertise offering end-to-end services to support a systemwide Research Data Repository (RDR), including implementation, customization, and ongoing maintenance of a solution leveraging certain open-source platforms. This RDR is a key initiative under SUNY’s Digital Transformation Project, intended to establish a SUNY-branded generalist RDR that will (a) enable the preservation, curation, and accessibility of research data across SUNY institutions; , (b) centralize data management processes; and (c) support compliance with requirements for data sharing and archiving, including requirements for naming designated repositories in data management plans.

SUNY invites vendor input to explore service models for a secure, scalable, and user-friendly SUNY-branded RDR that leverages available open-source platforms and is capable of meeting the varied needs of its research community.
