Project Description: The Project consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of a new 5.0 MGD pumping station, including a new above grade structure with wet well, dry well, dry pit submersible pumps, mechanical screens, washer/compactor, conveyors, influent and discharge piping, valves & appurtenances, with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing infrastructure, site work, demolition of the existing 19th Ward Pump Station, and related work.
Attention is called to the fact that Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages are to be paid on this Project, as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.
The City has a Responsible Contractor Ordinance (RCO) that is in effect for the three (3) contracts. All prospective bidders must review the requirements spelled out in the ordinance and certify that they comply with the RCO in order to submit a qualified bid.
