The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide: Mastication treatments in units that are dominated by pinyon/juniper vegetation on a base acreage of 1,100.3 acres and an optional acreage of 527.1 acres in the Triangle Uplands in Grand County between October 9th, 2026 and February 28th, 2027. The goal of the prescription is to remove trees to return the treatment units back to a mosaic pattern of varying densities with scattered pockets of untreated leave islands. Pinyon/juniper trees will be removed through mastication with a bullhog type piece of equipment. .
Mandatory Site Visit: A site visit will NOT be held prior to bidding. It is strongly recommended that each potential bidder inspect the site where services are to be performed and satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. .
It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor.
Project Performance Time: October 9th, 2026 - February 28th, 2027
Vendor must guarantee its pricing through completion of the project.
