NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
TIN CUP PARALLEL FORCE MAIN
In accordance with Sections 290.210 through 290.340, RSMo, this project is subject to the Missouri
Prevailing Wage Law. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers employed on this project
not less than the prevailing hourly wage rates, including applicable holiday and overtime rates, for each
classification of work as determined by the Missouri Division of Labor Standards. The Contractor shall
maintain accurate payroll records identifying the names, occupations, and wages paid to all workers
employed on the project, and such records shall be made available for inspection upon request by the
contracting public body. Failure to comply with the Prevailing Wage Law may result in statutory penalties,
including forfeitures for underpayment of wages. The Contractor's performance and payment bonds shall
guarantee compliance with the prevailing wage requirements. Any revisions to the prevailing wage rates
issued by the Missouri Division of Labor Standards or resulting from court decisions during the term of the
Contract shall be governed by Missouri law and shall not serve as the basis for claims against the Owner or
deductions by the Owner. The applicable Missouri Prevailing Wage Determination and Occupational Title
Descriptions are included in the Contract Documents and shall govern the classification of workers
performing the Work.
Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of total Bid price shall accompany each bid in
accordance with “Instructions to Bidders” in the Project Manual.
SEALED BIDS for construction of Tin Cup Parallel Force Main for the City of Joplin, Missouri will be
received by the City of Joplin, Missouri at Joplin City Hall, 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, Missouri, 64801 until
10 A.M. 07/27/2026. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the 4th Floor Conference Room at
this same address.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Joplin City Hall, 602 S. Main Street, 4th Floor Conference
Room, Joplin, Missouri, 64801 at 11A.M. on 07/13/2026.
The work to be performed consists of the installation of approximately 4,200 linear feet of 24-inch diameter
PVC force main with tracer wire, approximately 1,020 linear feet of PVC gravity sewer (30-inch and 8-inch),
manholes, open cut crossing of Shoal Creek, air release valves, and all associated appurtenances.
