Replacement of 35 kW Emergency Standby Generator with a 140kW self-contained Generator

INVITATION TO BID
The Town of West Boylston, is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Replacement of 35 kW Emergency Standby Generator with a 140kW self-contained Generator located at 39 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
Sealed bids entitled "Replacement of 35 kW Emergency Standby Generator with a 140kW self-contained Generator" will be received at the Office of the Town Administrator, West Boylston Town Hall, Second Floor, 140 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA 01583, until 10:00 a.m. on December 30, 2025 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to the Town of West Boylston issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. The bid deposit will be forfeited if the bidder fails to execute the contract and satisfactory Bond with ten (10) day of the contract award.
Specifications and bid forms will be available DIGITAL ONLY and will be made available to Contractors starting December 15, 2025. Contractors may obtain said documents by emailing the Town Administrator at townadmin@westboylston-ma.gov. Bidders are required to submit bids on the Bid Forms provided. No late Bids shall be accepted. No faxed or emailed Bids shall be accepted. Conditional Bids shall not be accepted.
The job site will be available for inspection upon request. All materials must be delivered by March 1, 2025 unless other arrangements are made with the Town.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to G.L. c.149, ยงยง44A-44H, as amended and G.L. c. 30, Section 39M, as amended.
All bidders shall observe and be responsible for the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended.
Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Successful Bidder shall be required to execute a Contract in a form of the attached document. The successful bidder shall, within five (5) business days after presentation thereof by the Town, execute a Contract in accordance with the terms of this Invitation for Bids. The Bidder further accepts all of the terms and conditions of this Invitation for Bids.
The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
