Project Summary: The City has launched the Power Factor Correction Project (PFCP) which aims to increase the efficiency of energy consumption. To support this project, The City is looking to hire a contractor to purchase and install power factor correction equipment at various City owned sites.
The contractor must satisfy the requirements of Appendix H1 – Prime Contractor for Safety Requirements.
This RFQ is open to all proponents. No prequalification is required.
This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
Scheduled Operational Date: 2027-11-30
Site visits will be held on May 20, 2026, and May 21, 2026. All interested proponents can attend. Further details are provided in Schedule 5-A Technical Specifications.
