Project Description:
Furnish, deliver, and install:

QTY = 139

Signs of the following type: Permit (see mock up - requires additional changes, as
specified on doc)

18”H x 24”W

High intensity w/ clearcoat

Pre drilled mounting holes at 1.5” from edge on center

Requires removal of existing signage in nearly all locations. Fasteners shall all be
replaced. Banding
straps/mounts that are in good condition (i.e. no rust) may
be retained, as long as it meets the minimum height clearance. Banding straps/mounts
that are in poor condition
shall be removed (any strap with ~25% or more rust;
any mount with ~25% or more rust OR rusted threads). Banding straps that are not
aligned with the new mounting
holes may be abandoned in place, unless the location
prohibits the installation of new signage. Contractor shall NOT drill new holes in
signs to utilize existing
mounts unless otherwise approved by the University.

Contractor shall provide all banding straps/mounts and fasteners. All banding
straps/mounts and fasteners shall be
stainless steel. Stainless steel washer shall
be used on the front face, and stainless steel split washer on the back face.
Banding straps on light posts shall
have pvc gasket placed between post and banding
strap/mount to prevent scratching coated aluminum. We use pvc shower pan liners.

Perforated square telescoping tube type signposts are typically 2”; some locations
have 2.25”. Signposts may need
to be adjusted in height. If the signpost cannot
be raised enough to meet the minimum height requirements, the University is
responsible for providing additional
square tubing that meets the requirements.
Contractor shall provide all fasteners for install on concrete wall or chain link
fence and shall treat each
location as a new install.

Height requirements:

Bottom of sign to be 7’ high minimum, and no more than 8’ high. Contractor may
request departure from
specifications for places that have existing signage not
meeting this requirement. The University shall approve all departures from
specifications.

Contractor shall install signage as acquired through this bid. See map for
approximate locations. Exact locations
to be specified by the University with the
foreman/project manager prior to installation.

An approximate location and quantity breakdown is as follows:

Unless otherwise specified, all locations have existing mounts (except chain link
fence and concrete wall - treat
as new). Spares should factor in mounting costs,
but may not be installed.
