Telfair Co. Recreation Complex

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received for the Recreation Complex, at the Telfair County
Board of Commissioners 91 Telfair Avenue, Suite A, McRae-Helena, Georgia 31055
until June 11, 2026 at 11:00A.M. (Local Time), at which time they will be publicly
opened and read .
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:
The construction of the improvements at the Telfair County Recreation Park
including +/- 525 LF of 18" RCP storm drain pipe and structures +/- 596 SY of 4" thick
concrete, +/- 13,792 SF of seal coat and striping of the existing parking lot, outdoor
basketball court, four pickleball courts, renovations to multiple onsite buildings, 30'x24'
split face block bathroom building and septic system, new grassed Tee Ball fields, +/-
1,190 LF of black vinyl coated chain link fence, sod, bleachers, Custom overhead tie
back Canopy Net, Batting Cage on 65'x70' concrete slab, and other improvements as
shown on the plans as all necessary items to properly construct the park.
All work on the Project must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days
of date of notice to proceed.
Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in
accordance with the Contract Documents and the Specifications, which are on file and
may be reviewed at the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers,
4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
Copies of Bid Forms, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained
from Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., 4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210,
upon deposit of $200.00 per set of specifications. No refund will be made for returned
documents.
No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Telfair County prior to the
time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Telfair County, for
10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event
that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and
furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates.
Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened.
No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Telfair
County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard
informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
