DISPOSAL of MUNICIPAL BIOSOLIDS

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids for DISPOSAL of MUNICIPAL BIOSOLIDS. Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review all parts of this document. Currently the City of Lockport produces an estimated total annual volume of 2,000 cubic yards of cake biosolids and 850,000 gallons of liquid at two sites. Bonnie Brae Forest Manor Wastewater Treatment Plant and Division Street Wastewater Treatment Plant. The selected service provider will be required to initiate work on January 1, 2026.


Obtaining Bid Documents: The invitation to bid document has been published and is available through the City of Lockport; interested parties may contact Jason Neighbors by email at jneighbors@lockport.org or by phone: 815-838-1705 in order to receive the document. ?Upon receipt of the document, parties interested in bidding will be added to a plan holders list. ?Bids received from contractors who are not in the Bidder’s Plan holder List will be rejected.


Bids will be received until Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.?The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport Public Works & Engineering Facility, 17112 Prime Boulevard, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. ?Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.


Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Lockport, Public Works & Engineering Facility, 17112 Prime Boulevard, Lockport, IL 60441 and marked to indicate the following:

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids to provide the necessary labor and equipment to complete the transportation and disposal of spoils generated in the course of normal Municipal operations in accordance with the Specifications and Contract Documents. Currently the City of Lockport produces an estimated total 150 21-Ton Truckloads of spoils annually. The selected service provider will be required to initiate work on December 1, 2025.
