The Project is generally described as the interior renovation of the Kitchen storage, preparation, and cooking areas of Building 13 at Eastern State Hospital. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing servicessupporting the kitchen will be demolished and replaced throughout the building. Foodservice equipment, quarry tile and terrazzo flooring, and acoustical tile ceilings will be demolished and replaced. Interior non-loading walls in the first floor kitchen area will be demolished. Walk-in coolers and freezers will be provided. Accessible restrooms will be provided. Structural systems will bemodified to accommodate additional loads from rooftop mechanical systems and first floor loads. A fire protection sprinkler system will be provided throughout the building on the first floor andbasement. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Eastern State Hospital at 10:00 a.m., local prevailing time, on October 24, 2024. The meeting will take place in the Warehouse Building Upper Level Training Room. Parking is available on the corner of Foster Road and Schmidt Road. A tour and inspection of the work will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference.
