A licensed environmental professional is required to be the project lead. 19 North Main Street is a Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) regulated unit with an approved Corrective Action Management Unit (CAMU) holding previously stabilized contaminated waste and intended as the location for additional consolidation of contaminated soils from the former Gilbert & Bennett Wire Mill Manufacturing Co. site adjacent to the property. The Scope of Work that is the subject of this RFP will support that objective. The project is funded by a Brownfield Assessment Grant from the State of Connecticut’s Department of Economic and Community Development Office of Brownfield Remediation and Development.
