Countywide Traffic Signal Equipment Upgrade Project
The work is located at various intersections throughout the County.
The work, in general, consists of removing and replacing existing traffic controllers, and installing video detection systems to replace vehicle loop detectors. Pursuant to the Public Contract Code Section 3400 (c)(2), the Department has designated the Miovision Video Detection System (VDS), including associated products listed in the plans and specifications, as the exclusive VDS for the project. This specification is necessary to complement VDS equipment currently in use throughout the County on existing public improvements. This will ensure compatibility with the County’s existing signal infrastructure, allows for interchangeability with products in the County’s maintenance inventory and is essential for seamless logistical and operational integration with the existing highway facilities Base Estimate Range between $1,500,000 and $1,825,000 |
