The project involves the demolition and removal of two hurricane-damaged piers: the 8th Street timber pier and the Jaycee Beach concrete pier, followed by the installation of new floating dock systems provided by the City. Demolition work includes dismantling and removing all decking, framing, handrails, concrete slabs, caps, and timber or prestressed concrete pilings, including submerged remnants on the lake bottom. The contractor will be responsible for full debris containment, removal, and proper disposal, with strict adherence to OSHA safety standards, environmental protection measures, and permitting requirements from relevant agencies, including the FDEP and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The floating dock installation will include pile driving, gangway placement, and assembly, all in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and permit conditions.
