The project involves the demolition and removal of two hurricane-damaged piers: the 8th Street timber pier and the Jaycee Beach concrete pier, followed by the installation of new floating dock systems provided by the City. Demolition work includes dismantling and removing all decking, framing, handrails, concrete slabs, caps, and timber or prestressed concrete pilings, including submerged remnants on the lake bottom.
