ACTUARY SERVICES FOR OPEB

The County of Greenville, South Carolina is seeking proposals from firms or individuals to provide Actuary Services to assist with the measurement, recognition, and reporting requirement of Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB). It is the intent of the Greenville County and the Greenville County Library System to seek a firm for a one year contract with a maximum of four (4) annual renewals.

The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) issued statement number 75, Accounting and Reporting for Post-Employment Benefits Other Than Pensions. The statement establishes standards for recognizing and measuring liabilities, deferred outflows of resources, deferred inflows of resources, and expense/expenditures.
