The Link

The Link will offer low-intensity residential stabilization to adult residents of Dane County experiencing a substance use-related crisis, a mental health crisis, or both, with a focus on supporting individuals at all stages of substance use disorder recovery who wish to discontinue their use.

Currently, Dane County Department of Human Services (DCDHS) purchases residential withdrawal management and connection-to-care services for Dane County residents seeking substance use disorder treatment (the “Treatment Readiness Center” program). We are shifting our service delivery to purchase similar but less medically intensive services for individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns in a community-based residential facility (CBRF) setting (“The Link”). The new model will continue to offer a low-barrier access point for individuals wishing to discontinue substance use, leveraging external resources when medical withdrawal management care is indicated.
