SUBJECT: LNext Spacecraft (SC) Procurement Industry Week Announcement
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO PROPOSALS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.
This notice is issued by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) to solicit responses from interested parties. This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition.
This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
The NASA LNext Flight Project will solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding commercial spacecraft (SC) manufacturing capabilities that can meet LNext SC requirements by hosting an Industry Week with an open forum session the week of March 3rd and a vendor dedicated session between March 10th and March 14th. These LNext SC Procurement Industry Week vendor dedicated sessions will be held at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Greenbelt, Maryland. A detailed agenda and logistics will be published to the interested parties once feedback from individual vendors is received.
The LNext Project is interested in obtaining industry feedback on several areas of interest:
Specific questions regarding these areas of interest have been prepared by the LNext Project and are attached to this announcement.
The LNext Project is seeking to collaborate with industry partners on critical document reviews in the areas of interests outlined above. The following attachments are provided with this announcement to provide the appropriate insight into the LNext Project and to facilitate open communication and discussion around the topics of interest:
The Industry Week will be comprised of two forums:
The agenda and venue will be finalized based on the number of interested parties. Details will be provided to the interested parties’ representatives.
Following the Industry Week, LNext Project may issue a study Request for Proposal (RFP) to further explore potential updates to the LNext documentation to align them with commercial practices. The LNext Project welcomes discussions of vendor interest in the studies during Industry Week’s dedicated sessions.
