NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals will be received by the North Carolina Department of Transportation in one of four ways:
• Hand delivered to 4809 Beryl Rd, Raleigh NC 27606, Conference Room B
• Sent by courier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to 4809 Beryl Rd, Raleigh NC 27606
• Electronically via email to the NCDOT Project Manager: Gretchen Golz, Ext-gmgolz@ncdot.gov
• Mailed via the US Postal Service to 1567 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1567
o If sending via USPS, plan for bid to arrive to MSC at least 7 days before bid opening because it can
take several days for the mail to be processed and arrive to the building. This is the least preferred
method.
Bids will be received until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 and immediately thereafter publicly opened
and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of :

Scope of Work
The work on this project generally consists of replacement of the existing fire alarm systems with new
addressable fire alarm systems at the Noth Carolina Department of Transportation facilities at 4809 Beryl Road
and 5105 Beryl Road in Raleigh North Carolina. First, new central station digital communicators must be
installed on the existing fire alarm systems. Then, the new systems must be completely installed, tested and
approved by the Authority having Jurisdiction. Finally, the existing Fire Alarm systems can be disabled and
demolished.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders at 10:00 AM, December 18, 2025. The meeting
will take place at the project site, 4809 Beryl Rd, Raleigh NC, 27606 in Conference Room B.

Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective
trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General
Contractors must have general license classification for (See Licensing Board Rules & Regulations).
No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject
any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACCEPTANCE form provided herein
with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed.
