Pursuant to the General Statutes of North Carolina, Section 143-128 et. seq, contractors
are invited to submit Sealed Single Prime Construction bids providing labor, material, and
equipment for entering into a Single Prime Contract. The scope of work includes but is not
limited to the following:
The City of Raleigh requests proposals for the installation of ADA door operators located at
Biltmore Hills Community Center, Eastgate Neighborhood Center, Green Road Community
Center, Greystone Recreation Center, Lions Park Community Center, Method Road
Community Center, Millbrook Aquatic Center, Optimist Aquatic Center, Optimist Community
Center, Roberts Park Community Center, Tarboro Road Community Center, and Worthdale
Community Center.
Cost Specifications:
Total cost of this project will be included within the bid package. All labor, materials, equipment
and permitting fees in relation to the purpose of this project are to be included. The City of Raleigh
will not be responsible for vehicle/trip charges, fuel surcharges, miscellaneous equipment and
supplies, disposal fees, and administrative fees. Bid proposals shall have each location priced
separately with a total lump sum. Rates shall be fully burdened to include all costs, all applicable
overhead and profit.
Project Scope:
o All work to include electrical will be required of awarded contractor.
o All work must be installed with current electrical building codes and manufactures
installation instructions. All work must be approved and inspected by City of Raleigh.
o All work must be performed by a licensed contractor with the State of North Carolina
o Contractor shall provide validation and certificate of insurance that all employees are
properly insured.

o Contractor will ensure that the designated City of Raleigh facilities staff receive informal
familiarization training in equipment that is installed after final inspection has been
completed.
o Contractor will provide all installation manuals, specification documents and warranties to
the City of Raleigh Project Manager at completion of project.
o All structure penetrations will be sealed and repaired by awarded contractor. All methods
and applications of repair must be approved by City of Raleigh Project Manager.
