The County of Monroe is accepting proposals for the interior renovations and related plumbing repairs of the Monroe County Main Jail. Interested and qualified contractors should review the requirements outlined within this Request for Proposal along with the associated drawings. All work must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days and the building is to be occupied throughout the duration of the project. Contractor proposals shall include all necessary mechanical, plumbing, electrical work along with general construction work for a complete installation.
Contractors are required to inspect the project site prior to submitting a proposal. A Pre-Bid Conference Meeting and Walk-Through is scheduled for 8:00 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Monroe County Main Jail, 100 East Second Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161. This will provide contractors an opportunity to inspect the project site and gain a full understanding of the scope of work and conditions that will affect execution of the work. The project site will also be available for inspection by appointment from Monday, January 12 through Friday, February 6, 2026.
