Project Description: Sealed bid proposals will be received by Lower Frederick Township (LFT) electronically through PennBid for sewage sludge removal, hauling, and disposal until 2:00 PM on December 30, 2025, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Lower Frederick Township Building, 53 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville PA 19473.
All documents and solicitation details are available online anytime at no cost at the PennBid website (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com). All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid proposal and made payable to Lower Frederick Township.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is to be conducted at the Township Building on 12/18/2025, at 1:00 p.m., to review the project scope of work and bidding requirements, and to permit bidders the opportunity to view the facilities that are to be pumped.
All bidders should be aware that all of the terms and conditions set out in the Contract Documents must be strictly adhered to and are not subject to negotiation after the bid is awarded, and the submission of a bid shall constitute the bidder’s express agreement to comply with the terms and conditions set out in the Contract Documents. All bids, experience statements, bonds, and insurance certificates must be executed on the forms which are provided in the Contract Documents. A contract may be awarded to the bidder submitting the most responsible and responsive bid.
The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof; to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects, or irregularities in any bid; and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the Township. Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
