2026 Miscellaneous Concrete

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The scope of the 2026 Miscellaneous Concrete Program includes the replacement of various lengths and location of concrete monolithic walks, separate sidewalk sections, and asphalt patching work within the Town of Swan Hills.

INVITATION TO BIDDER
The Town of Swan Hills has contracted Select Engineering Consultants Ltd. to solicit bids for the removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete and asphalt repair areas within the Town of Swan Hills.

SOLICITATION OF OFFERS
.1        Bids clearly marked “Town of Swan Hills – 2026 Miscellaneous Concrete” will be received via the Bids and Tenders platform before 2:00:00 pm local time on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026
.2        Digital Bid Documents can be obtained from https://selecteng.bidsandtenders.ca.
.3        Questions regarding the bid are to be submitted through the bidding system using the “Submit a Question” feature.
.4        The Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to accept an offer which is deemed most advantageous. The lowest or any offer will not necessarily be accepted.

TENDER DISCLOSUURE STATEMENT
The Town of Swan Hills firstly would like to than you for your firm’s interest in this project and working with the Town to help us move our community forwards in its upgrades. Secondly, the Town would like to identify for full discloser purposes that to the contract is subjected to change based on the provided unit rates. The overall contract can increase or decrease to fit the Towns allocated approved budget.

BID SUBMISSIONS
.1 Bidders shall be solely responsible for the submission of their bids in the manner and time prescribed.
.2 Bids must be submitted and received electronically through Select’s Bidding System at Selectengineering.bidsandtenders.ca, together with the required security,
.3 Bids received via facsimile or email will not be accepted.
.4 Each Bid must be accompanied by a digital Bid Bond and a digital Consent of Surety. The Owner will only accept submissions that include both the Bid Bond and consent of Surety in an electronically verifiable / enforceable (e-Bond) format. Bond(s) must be irrevocable and open for bid acceptance for at least 45 days from the date of bid closing. Bids not accompanied by Bid Security will be rejected as non-compliant.

BID SECURITY
.1 Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows:
a. Bid Bond or Certified Cheque, made payable to the owner, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price.
b. Bid bond issued in an electronically verifiable format by a Surety Company authorized by law to carry on business in the Province of Alberta, endorsed and made payable to the Town of Swan Hills.
c. Bid bond must be endorsed in the name of the Owner and contain digital signatures and digital seals by the principal (Contractor) and Surety
.2 The bid security will not be returned to unsuccessful bidders.
3. If no contract is awarded, Bid Securities will not be returned.
